Date for Payment of All GES Lower-Ranked Staff in 2022-GNAT Breaks Silence

All teachers at the lower rank would be promoted as far as they are due and have been supervised, according to the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) Leadership.

Information obtained by Educandghana.net and affirmed by Thomas Musah, the association’s general secretary, suggests that the Ghana Education Service will promote qualified personnel totaling roughly 27,903 at the lowest rank (GES).

The statement further states that 10,333 (ten thousand three hundred and thirty-three) qualified employees have received promotions to date, and 17,570 (seventeen thousand five hundred and seventy) additional employees are waiting to receive promotions in August.

The statement further reveals that promoted staff will be paid in the same month without any delay.

BACKGROUND

The Ghana Education Service (GES) earlier this year assured teachers at the lower rank who are due to be promoted to their next deserving rank that promotion will be effected commencing in May and end in July 2022.
