CAGD to Carry Out Bio-data Verification Check the details

The Controller and Accountant General's Department (CAGD) has initiated a nationwide verification operation for CAP 30 retirees, aiming to connect their National Identification Authority (NIA) numbers with the pension database.

The primary objective of this procedure, which began earlier this month, is to ensure that payments are made only to legitimate pensioners by purging the database.

As per the statement, all eligible pensioners must present their Ghana Card (front and back copies), pension advice, and Pension Form One for a smooth and successful verification process.

In the event that pensioners do not possess the Pension Advice and Pension Form One, they can still visit authorized verification centers and physically present the front and back copies of their pension identity card.

The announcement from CAGD also included instructions for Ghanaian CAP 30 retirees residing abroad, urging them to submit copies of the required documents to their respective embassies.

Furthermore, pensioners are advised to reach out to the nearest CAGD regional office or the finance offices of MMDAs for any clarifications regarding the CAP 30 pension and verification exercise.
